David Keith
Vice President of Operations
David brings 18 years of business leadership to the team. He has a BA from California State University, Sacramento in Economics. He worked 10 years in business and marketing for Shell Oil Company. In 2002, David co-founded and operated K2 Environmental, Inc, a successful construction company in the Bay Area. In 2006, David hung up his tool belt to join Nu-Designs. In 2009, David led the transition of our company into a Drupal Shop. "We feel like a startup again. Drupal is an exciting project to be a part of, and we continue to open doors that weren’t available to us before!" See Full Bio.
Michele Carter
Sales and Marketing Manager
Michele is the initial point of contact for new clients at Nu-Designs. She emphasizes customized, personal service. “I believe in the talent of each member of the Nu-Designs team,” she said. “If I didn’t believe in the products we offer or the skills of the team, I wouldn’t be able to sell our services.” If you’ve been thinking about having a new Web site designed, Michele will be there to listen, offer suggestions and show you how Nu-Designs can help. She has many years of experience as a project manager and coordinator and has made a career of sales, sales support and customer service. Michele’s offtime passion is creating fused glass art and is an instructor of these classes at the local community center.
Del Morris
Accounting
With all the wacky, creative types here at Nu-Designs, someone has to keep everybody in line. Del is in charge of payroll, accounts receivable and payable and generally keeping everyone’s ducks in a row. We’d be lost without him because, frankly, computer-types aren’t known for being good at this sort of thing. Friendly and competent, he is always available to help employees or clients with accounting questions or concerns. It’s rumored that he never buys erasers or whiteout because he never makes mistakes.
Clyde "Killer" Cowen
Tails and Barketing
When Clyde is not bird-watching out of our window, he’s always happy to greet our visitors, tail wagging. His interests are: birds, bones, shadows, a good scratch, and long walks in the park.
Ron Lowe
Founder
Ron Lowe started Nu-Designs in 1995 from his Santa Rosa apartment. Ron has an innate ability (and years of experience) to gauge a Web site’s “usability”, the ease with which a visitor can access information and navigate, and its effectiveness in getting the attention of search engines. Unlike many computer and Web experts, Ron didn’t grow up obsessed with computers. Ron has worked as a grocery clerk, as a farrier/blacksmith, even a professional photographer. Somehow, that history added up to the proficiency that guided Nu-Designs to where it is today. In 2009, Ron retired from day to day operations, but still keeps in touch with the legacy of Nu-Designs that he created.
Jim "Screaming Monkey" Brumm
Independant Copywriter
Jim specializes in helping business owners tell their story. He can hone in on those special qualities that set you and your business apart from the competition and write about them in a way that makes customers want to do business with you. With over 20 years experience in editing, writing and publishing, Jim can write your Web site’s content from scratch, or go in and tweak the existing copy to improve the flow and clarity. When he’s not writing, he’s either reading or playing air guitar. You can often find him and his band, Blacktop Moon, performing at various venues around Sonoma County, where he plays a real guitar.
