Cracking the Google Code:
One of the most common questions our clients ask is, "how do I get listing on the first page of Google?" The quick answer to this question is simple: CONTENT. But there is a lot more to it than just adding words. Most web marketing professionals would probably agree that content is the most important aspect to search engine rankings. Not just "any" content, but RELEVANT content. Content that supports the key word search as well as the rest of the web site. The Drupal platform is an excellent tool to help you create and maintain relevant content. Site owners can quickly add additional content, pages and images as needed.
Start a Blog

One strategy we recommend is to maintain a BLOG. A blog is nothing new. Individuals and business professionals have been blogging for years. The difference is that Drupal has a blog module built into the web site framework. This helps drive traffic directly to the website instead of some blogging web site. A blog can further strengthen the relevancy of the web content assuming the blog topics are also relevant. A blog is also an opportunity for a business to share helpful tips and experience with potential customers. A well planned blogging strategy can instill confidence with the potential customers while at the same time significantly strengthen the web sites search engine placement.
Answer the Question
Another content driven strategy is to establish a frequently asked questions section of your web site. The Drupal FAQ module is an excellent way of organizing and presenting FAQ’s. You can answer relevant questions using relevant key words or you can create "Did You Knows" that cover other important key words. We recommend that you provide the answers to the most common questions in your industry and you provide the purchasing tips to help consumers make informed purchasing decisions.
Provide News and More
You may also want to have a NEWS section that aggregates RSS feeds using your key words. The Drupal Feed Aggregator will organized relevant news events that relate to your industry. The feed can collect these key-word-rich articles and imbed them directly into your website, dynamically and in real time. We also recommend businesses use Twitter to create 'micro' blogs and feed them directly into your web site using the Drupal Twitter module. Some of our clients are also using the Drupal Glossary module to create a resource library of content on their industry and further establishing themselves as an AUTHORITY in their industry.
Content is King
There are many aspects to high search engine placement but if content is KING, you should structure your web site so that you are a resource of relevant information. Some search engine “experts” may tell you to do dozens of things but, start with your content. Everything else takes the back seat.
